Poll: corruption ‘very serious’ problem in New York government
A majority of New York state registered voters want part-time legislators to be required to fully disclose the sources and nature of their outside income, according to a poll to be published Tuesday by Siena College.The poll also found that 51% of respondents believe that corruption is a “very serious” problem in state government. Egypt Mubarak-era ministers acquitted
A court in Egypt has cleared former Prime Minister Ahmed Nazif and former Interior Minister Habib al-Adly of corruption charges at a retrial. The two men were accused of illegally profiteering from a deal with a German firm to import vehicle number plates.
